I used a wonderfully easy recipe tonight to make dinner. I found it here: http://therecipecritic.com/2013/08/easy-fried-rice/

Start to finish it took very little time and came out wonderfully! I will be making it again one day! 🙂

French Toast Waffles!

image

The 2 on the left look a little sad because they were made with my 35 calorie/slice bread. It makes a sad looking little waffle toast 😉 lol

So last night, I had this genius idea. And this morning my wonderful hubby made them for us! French Toast Waffles! 😀 Just like french toast, but no flipping! And no pan! Materials: Waffle iron, fork Ingredients: Nonstick cooking spray, eggs, bread. The ratio hubby likes to use 1 egg to 1 piece of bread Instructions: Preheat waffle iron. Scramble 1 egg. Dip 1 piece of bread into the egg. Flip it over and let the other side soak up the rest of the egg. Spray the waffle iron with the nonstick spray and put the egg soaked bread into a waffle space. If your waffle iron holds 2 waffles, work fast and get another ready and put it in the other space before you close it. Let it(them) cook in the closed device for about 1 or 2 minutes before opening to check. If they are a nice golden brown then remove them. If they are still yellow and eggy, then close it and let them cook a little longer. Then just serve with your favorite waffle or french toast toppers. My daughter likes them slathered with peanut butter and then drizzled with syrup. I like that way too, but to limit calories, I eat them like hubby does, just a bit of syrup drizzeled on top. 🙂
